Read about some of our Volunteers and how they got involved in Meso Development.

So you want to participate in a service internship in Central America? Join us as we travel each year to El Salvador to help lift the people in this amazingly beautiful country.

Volunteers and interns have the opportunity to use basic knowledge and skills to educate and help communities build, progress, and push forward in an attempt to relieve some of the damaging effects of poverty. From building homes, to teaching English, from providing blankets for orphans, to donating needed medical supplies to a rural health outpost, interns from Meso Development work every day to improve the lives of others.

Interns spend four months working in El Salvador. Shifts begin in January, May, and September. If you are interested in volunteering for a shorter period of time during the summer months, please contact our partner organization, HELP International, for further details on opportunities.

Fill out a few forms (legal waiver, immunization release, and proof of insurance) available at left, necessary for Meso's records and turn in copies of your passport, and international student identification card.

Interns are required to attend training sessions before they leave for El Salvador. These sessions are designed to instruct interns on the specifics of how the organization is run in El Salvador, how to teach classes, and Meso's goals for expansion into other countries.
